ToyBiz X-Force Wave 3 Quark (1994)
Quark is one of the more obscure and unusual characters in the ToyBiz X-Force lineup, making him a fun discovery for collectors who enjoy digging beyond the familiar faces of the Marvel Universe. Originally created in the bizarre world of Mojoworld, Quark was genetically engineered to serve the twisted television producer Mojo. He eventually rebelled against his creator and joined forces with Longshot, fighting against Mojo’s control. ToyBiz released Quark in its 1994 X-Force Series 3 assortment, giving the character a muscular build, distinctive horned head, and two blaster accessories. His signature “2-Fisted Quick Draw” action feature allowed him to bring both guns into position for a simultaneous draw, fitting perfectly with the weapon-heavy style of the era. Quark might not have been a household name like Cable or Deadpool, but his unusual design and memorable action gimmick make him a great example of the deep Marvel character roster ToyBiz explored during the ’90s.
