ToyBiz X-Force Wave 1 Kane (1992)
Garrison Kane, better known simply as Kane, brought a different kind of firepower to the original X-Force assortment. A former member of Cable’s mercenary team Six Pack, Kane was a cybernetically enhanced soldier whose mechanical upgrades made him a formidable combatant. His early-’90s appearance fit right into the era’s love of armored characters, high-tech weapons, and elaborate action features. ToyBiz’s 1992 figure included a blaster and a distinctive extending cybernetic hand, allowing Kane to launch his mechanical limb forward during play. Collectors can also look for a small but interesting variation: the figure was released with either a blue or red holster on his leg. It’s the sort of detail that makes collecting these vintage figures fun, especially when comparing examples side by side. Although Kane never reached the popularity of Cable or Deadpool, his unusual design and spring-loaded gimmick make him a memorable part of the first X-Force lineup.
